GENERAL DESCRIPTION

PSD-01A is a programmable signal conditioning for Position Sensing Devices, like 1D and 2D PSD's, photodiode arrays and 4-Quadrant photodiodes.

I2C Master/Slave permits configuring the IC via microcontroller or from stand-alone EPROM.

External sensor mismatch (gain error) and mechanical misalignment (offset error) can be corrected digitally with 11-bit resolution. Common-mode cancellation allows removing large background current to enhance signal contrast.

 

This part is intended to be used as concept IC for our customers to define their own custom IC as a "cost-effective ASIC" approach.

 

PSD-01A itself is only available as engineering samples in limited quantities for this purpose.
